Jackson Taylor, MP for Bayswater, was recently pleased to announce over $685,000 of funding, going towards six local schools.

Boronia K-12 College, Eastern Ranges School, Marlborough Primary School, The Basin Primary School, Bayswater Secondary College and Regency Park Primary School will all be benefitting from additional funds, secured by Mr. Taylor.

The funding is a part of the Andrews Government’s Inclusive Schools and Inclusive Equipment Funding programs. Hundreds of schools right across Victoria will be benefitting from over $75 million in total funding across both programs.

Locally in the east, these funds will ensure that the six schools will be able to purchase equipment and undertake works designed to support students with additional needs, to ensure that they get the best chance to get the education they deserve.

Projects include new sensory gardens, upgrades to play equipment and new synthetic running tracks and play spaces. This will mean that local kids will get the hands on, play-based learning that will ensure that all students will thrive.

Mr. Taylor spoke to each principal once this funding was announced to share the good news.

The Andrews Government is building the Education State to ensure every student can access a great local school and get a great education.

Inclusive education is about ensuring that all students, regardless of disabilities or other differences, can fully participate, learn, develop and succeed in Victorian government schools.

Strengthening inclusive education for all students, including those with disabilities and additional learning needs, is fundamental to an equitable and excellent school system
