SUPPORTING COMMUNITY CARE IN MONBULK

19 October 2022

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will ensure Foothills Community Care can keep running their beloved meal services for locals across the Monbulk electorate, including the Dandenong Ranges and Knox.

If re-elected we’ll invest $50,000 in this not-for-profit grassroots organisation, supporting them to provide a safe and inclusive space, along with home-cooked meals, for all those in need.

This builds on our record of support for food relief with an investment of more than $43 million to expand community relief since February 2020.

Labor is doing what matters – backing the important community organisations that help us all.

Foothills Community Care establishes a connection by providing nutritious and home-cooked meals to all who walk in.

For 20 years, Foothills Community Care has made a difference to the lives of locals, providing a place where people can connect and engage as they address issues such as family violence, homelessness, poverty, mental health and social isolation.

And we’ll support them for many more. Under a re-elected Andrews Labor Government, this important community asset will be strengthened by an investment of $50,000.

Only Labor will deliver what matters to our community.
